Felicty Pawter

Childhood

In the year 1440, an injured Hyur was brought to Paharo by a Wood-Warder who returned to the village, as they do every 3-5 years. The Wood-Warder stumbled upon the adventurer by chance, finding him critically injured in the woods nearby. The Viera of the village were sceptical at first but ultimately decided to nurse the man back to health. After he made a full recovery, he was offered a choice - leave and never return, or stay. Unwilling to leave just yet, wishing to repay them for saving his life, he offered his services. The Hyur was a very skilled armourer and smith, not only sharing his skills but also his knowledge of the arts.Of course that wasn’t everything - seeing as he was an adventurer quite a few ways from home, he was also a skilled fighter. Soon, the Hyur known as Rowan became part of the village, and as part of the village - a village full of gorgeous tall Viera - he could not help but fall in love with one lady - Sonja, a Viera skilled in the arts of magic and the arcane. As the one who has tended to his wounds upon his arrival, Sonja had been taking care of Rowan throughout his recovery. As a Hyur, Rowan sparked her interest or rather her curiosity. Sonja would ask Rowan about the Hyur and would in exchange tell him about the Viera and the village, helping him integrate. The two soon fell in love and after 4 or 5 years of learning from one another, Rowan crafted her an elegant set of jewellery, asking for her hand in marriage. In the year 1447 of the Sixth Astral Era during the 12th sun of the sixth umbral moon (December 12th), a child was born to the pair, bearing the name Freyathar.Being born to a Hyur father and a Viera mother, Freyathar barely appears different from the other Viera - if not for the slight difference that she is smaller than the average Viera woman and has midnight blue hair. As a Veena Viera living in the snowy Skatay Range, the dark hair against her pale skin made her -and her siblings- stand out like a sore thumb.Aside from great intellect, growing up Freyathar also displayed unexpected strength for a Veena Viera - probably thanks to her Hyur blood.

Education

Freyathar learned the art of the craft from her father, as well as how to use the different weapons she crafted. Even at a young age, Freyathar showed great promise in both crafting and combat. At the age of 15, Freyathar expressed an interest in hunting. Due to her hair colour somewhat putting her at a disadvantage in the snow, her mother trained her in magic and glamour to help disguise her appearance. As it became clear that Freyathar was capable beyond the average Viera’s capabilities, her parents began to test and train her limits. While she showed proficiency with almost all martial weapons, she was unbeaten in hand to hand combat.

Leaving Paharo &
coming to Eorzea

In the year 1477 of the Sixth Astral Era, at the age of 30, Freyathar decided to leave Paharo. Among all her siblings and peers, everyone knew she was destined for greater things than staying at the village. The training she was able to receive at the village was unfortunately limited, so at the behest of her family, Freyathar set out to venture into the world to test herself and to grow, gaining experience her home could never have given her.Upon leaving her village to never return, Freyathar discards her old name, as it belongs to the forest and forest alone. She was no longer a child of the forest, she was now an adventurer. For years, she travelled the continent, for the longest of it without a name. That changed when she meet and travelled alongside a stoic Elezen and a jolly Au Ra for a while, who bestowed upon her the name “Felicity Pawter”, with the first name meaning “Happiness, luck or Fortune” and the surname being a pun on “paw” and “porter”, as they had witnessed her carry out good deeds and help those in need, no matter how small or big an issue was.Despite the Elezen’s complaints about the name being more befitting a Miqo’te, the Au Ra’s insistence that “Rabbits have paws too!” have won the argument and thus the Viera formerly known as Freyathar has become Felicity Pawter. The trio parted ways some time after they set course for Eorzea, but their friendship shall be eternal. In the year 1562 of the Sixth Astral Era, Felicity was blessed by Hydaelyn - with the Echo. During her travels she continued to hone her skills, learn from others, seek out masters and become stronger.Soon, her name was known throughout Eorzea. Fighting aside the Alliance, another party has taken interest in her assistance - The Circle of Knowing. Approached by Lousioux, he shared his knowledge about the Echo and requested to call upon her should they need her assistance.Which happened to be sooner than expected. For a few years, she had become a regular guest in the halls of the Circle of Knowing, tying close friendships with the archons and even pulling the heartstrings of one of them.Alas, it was not to last, as soon Eorzea was faced with the threat of the Imperial Legion at the Battle of Carteneau.

The Calamity

(Sixth Astral Era - Year 1572 // Seventh Umbral Era - Year 0; Age 130)As one of those who would soon only become known as the “Warriors of Light”, Felicity fought alongside the Alliance and Master Lousioux at the Battle of Carteneau.Alas, like every, Felicity lost her memory of not only the Warriors of Light, but the Echo and herself as well. It was as if the past 100 years had been erased from her memory, setting her back to when she had just left her village at age 30, while retaining her muscle memory and training - and the knowledge of her new name - Felicity Pawter - but not that of her deeds. She remembered not her friends from after she had set foot onto Eorzea, nor the Echo or Haedelyn.

A Realm Reborn

(Seventh Umbral Era - Year 5; Age 135) After the calamity and the realm forgetting all about her and her deeds - herself included - Felicity began to travel across Eorzea as if it had been the first time. Five years after the calamity, she set out to Ul’dah in search for a master pugilist to train under and to register at the adventurer’s guild. In doing so, she soon crossed paths with the now unfamiliar face of Thancred. On Thancred’s behest, Felicity joins the Scions of the Seventh Dawn after she is struck by the Echo once more in Thancred’s presence. Upon arriving at the Waking Sands, she is welcomed into the midst of the Scions by Minfilia. It all feels oddly familiar yet strange and new at the same time.
